Alignment Design from Points
Alignment Design from Points, also referred to as Novapoint Rehab, is a module for optimization, adjustment, and alignment calculation of existing tracks or roads. Novapoint Rehab is based on the program NovaTrack, which is a module for optimization of railway tracks. In Novapoint Rehab, the rail specific functions have been removed.
Track and road design puts high demands on the precision of the alignment calculation. When using Novapoint Rehab, it is possible to have a complete overview of the deviation between existing track and alignment calculation within the design phase.
Novapoint Rehab analyzes measured points along a route, and generates a first suggestion for horizontal and vertical alignments through these points. The quality of the alignment compared to the measured points, is illustrated in diagrams. In the editing phase, these diagrams are used for reviewing the alignment.
Novapoint Rehab – other areas of use:
Adjustment of existing alignment.
Analysis of the deviation between two alignments.
Calculation of horizontal and vertical distances between road and fixed objects.
Stationing of large amounts of data, for example masts.
