TRIMBLE DRAWING

Trimble Drawing 2024 v.3509 gives best compatibility with Novapoint 2024.3.

There is no new version of Trimble Drawing with this release of Novapoint.

Alignment Design

General improvements for opening alignments from imports.

• • Line-Line elements - always FIXED-FIXED

  • Better fixation logic when reading in alignments

  • Alignments starting/ending with clothoids where source data is with low accuracy - use magic wand to try and find a better coordinate for the fixaton point.

ENHANCEMENT: Inserting new elements in the middle of the alignment - better logic to the insertion, using LENGTH instead of partial fixation.

ENHANCEMENT: Alignment Design can show data in the longsection when tasks are just having illustration objects.

ENHANCEMENT: External Data function supporting alignments that has chainage in opposite direction as the active alignment.

ENHANCEMENT: External Data dialog had some issues with 2K screens and showing From-To chainage properly.

FIXED: Supporting deleting one out of the two clothoids in S-curves, without making the remaining clothoid going from -R to +R or opposite.

FIXED: Tasklock not released when saving the alignment to a new line task.

FIXED: Some alignments couldn't be updated in Quadri. User now gets a message to create a new task to resolve the problem.

FIXED: Code column in 'reference points'-tab was not exported to KOF.

FIXED: Insert missing clothoids improved for some element combinations.

Designmodel

ENHANCEMENT: FEL-file now gets the grouping we see in process info.

FIXED: FEL-file was not being updated from NP2024.

FIXED: Cases where alignment as surface edge function did not follow the line in all chainages.

Road results

FIXED:  In some cases pavement solids could get holes when there were vertical walls in the design.

Draw to CAD

FIXED: Sight analysis didn't draw the red lines, only OK lines. Computations and reports in Quadri environment was always OK.

Alignment Design

FIXED: Double tracks could in some cases get the wrong cant stations when using cant-offset.

Cross-section Wizard

NEW: Possible to set the reference point for rotation at the center of the track, at the top or bottom of the track plane.

Finnish Version

New

The program has been updated with support for a number of the new signs launched by the Finnish Road Administration 01.06.2020 and updated in 2021, 2022 and 2023. The new version of the sign program can for a transitional period run in parallel with the version of the program that supports the previous standard.
