This list gives an overview of all defined buildings in Novapoint Noise. For each building identity, feature code, area, and whether the building is active or passive (A/P) are shown.
In this list, we may select several buildings at a time for the functions Delete, Active, Passive, RefOn, RefOff, and Show selection. If you just want to change a building or attach calculation points to a building, only one building can be selected.
Object handling
New building - The dialog box New building for registering a building appears. See New.
Fetch buildings - The dialog box Fetch buildings to fetch a selection of buildings appears. See Fetch.
Change - The dialog box Change building for changing a building appears. See New.
Calc. points - The dialog box Calculation points attached to [building identity] for changing connections between buildings and calculation points appear. See Calculation points.
Set absorption - Gives the opportunity to change the absorption factor for the buildings. See Absorption.
Number of persons - Gives the opportunity to change the number of persons in the building(s). See Number of persons.
Delete - Selected buildings are deleted. The dialog box Delete building appears. See Delete.

Show selection < - All dialog boxes are closed, and all buildings selected in the list are highlighted in red on the screen. We return to the dialog box by pressing <Enter> or <Esc>.
Window handling
+ The height of the window in the dialog box showing the list of buildings is increased.
- The height of the window in the dialog box showing the list of buildings is decreased.
Status
Number - states the total number of buildings defined in Novapoint Noise.
In list - the number of buildings in the filtered list.
Selected - tells how many of the buildings in the (filtered) list are selected.
Selection
Select all - All buildings in the (filtered) list are selected.
Invert - All buildings in the (filtered) list that are not selected are selected, and vice versa.
Reset - All selections are canceled.
From screen < - All dialog boxes are closed, and we may select one or more buildings by selecting them from the drawing. We return to the dialog box by pressing <Enter>. The buildings that were selected from the drawing will now be selected in the list.
AutoCAD does not allow more than 255 lines in a list to be selected at a time. If more than 255 objects are selected, a message will appear at the bottom of the screen, that the list cannot be used directly. This means that more than 255 objects cannot be selected by clicking the list and that the functions Select All, Invert, Reset, and/or From screen have to be applied when more than 255 objects are to be selected. We cannot see from the list which objects are selected, but Selected will show the number, and the functions for the relevant objects do work!
Filter
In the Filter box, you can select which buildings are shown in the list.
Status - We may choose whether only buildings in active mode, only buildings in passive mode, or buildings in both active and passive mode are to be shown.
Identity - We may filter by identity, by stating certain names. The filtering by name happens as in AutoCAD in general (see Wildcard Characters in AutoCAD's help file).
Example:
“Building*” - all objects with identity starting with “Building”, no matter what comes after
“Building?1*” - all objects with identity having exactly one character between “Building” and “1”, e.g.: “Building01”, “BuildingA1234”, “Building 1”, but not “Building321”.
Misc.
OK - The dialog box is closed.
