New Point Elevations - Running
This function calculates the elevation for a new point elevation based on the distance from the last point and the current slope. The points can be set out running, with the previous point as a reference, until the function is terminated by pressing enter. By using different options at any time at the command line, it is possible to:
Lock the elevation. The slope changes when the distance changes.
Change the slope value (default value is 2%).
Lock the distance. The next point will be at a specified distance from a reference point.
Specify the slope, height, and distance from the reference point.

Working procedure
Entering the function, the command prompts:
Specify basepoint or [Pick Height]:
Pick a position of the basepoint in the drawing, alternatively press ´P` and select an existing point elevation.
When a new basepoint is chosen, the command prompts:
Enter height <0.0000>:
Type z-value, press 'Enter'.
The first point elevation is now defined, by moving the cursor you will see the next point elevation and distance change in real-time, based on the set slope. The command prompts:
Specify the next point [Pick height/Elevation/SLope/Distance/Height&slope]:
Pick a position for the next point elevation, or change the setting by the following:
Pick height - Type ´P` - select a new point by clicking it.
Elevation - Type ´E` - locks the elevation to see how the slope changes in realtime
SLope - Type ´SL`- enter the new value for slope, press 'Enter'
Distance - Type ´D`- enter a value for distance, and press 'Enter' - a circle with a radius equal to the selected distance appears. Point out the direction to set out a new point elevation on the circle. It is possible to snap to apparent intersections (the circle and lines in the drawing). The circle is removed by option [Remove lock] - type ´R`.
Height&slope - Type ´H`- specify new elevation, press 'Enter', then specify new slope value and press 'Enter'. A circle with a radius equal to the calculated distance appears. Point out the direction to set out a new point elevation on the circle. It is possible to snap to apparent intersections (the circle and lines in the drawing). The circle is removed by option [Remove lock] - type ´R`. Arrows point downwards onto lower heights. Press Control to get a positive slope.
Tip: The next point elevation is automatically set at a lower level according to the slope (the slope arrow is pointing away from the reference point.) Switch direction by pressing Ctrl-button during set out - the next point elevation will then instead be placed at a higher level according to the slope.
About point elevations in Novapoint Landscape
Point elevations are blocks with insertion points in the “+”-sign. The z-value for the block will always be equal to the written text.
It is possible to use osnap when setting out point elevations - the z-value in the specific point snapped to will show in the command prompt. To use the snapped z-value instead of typing in a value - just press 'Enter'.
Styles for point elevations and slope arrows can be created and managed inside New point elevations setup.
