Get Point Elevations from 3DFaces
This function calculates elevations on the basis of a triangle surface in the drawing and writes the elevation value to an active layer to the current AutoCAD drawing.
Notes:
The function reads the elevation from the active terrain model. Hence it is essential to check the project settings for the correct model.
Triangle Model is to be generated and stored to the Digital Terrain Model before initiating the function “Get Point Elevation from 3D Faces”.
Run the function from:
MOUS_ICO Toolbar: Not available from the Toolbar
MOUS_ICO Menu: Novapoint > Terrain Information > Get Point Elevation from 3DFaces
KEYB_ICO Command Line: Not available from the command line
Command prompts for:
Heights of text <2.5 (is default)>: New value or Enter
Number of decimals <2 (is the default)>: New value or Enter
Specify the point in the drawing, for which elevation is desired. The program calculates the elevation of the point from the triangle model and inserts it in the drawing file. The same value will be listed on the command prompts also.
The command continues to prompt for points. Pick all the points for which elevations are desired. Exit the function with the key Enter.
