New
The same dialog box can be reached via Change…, the title then is Change barrier instead of New barrier, the functionality is otherwise alike.
Find it here:

In this dialog box, you define/change a barrier. A barrier is based on a polygon representing the mid line of the barrier. Then the program generates a polygon which is the outline of the barrier, based on the barrier width.
Identity
Identity - Identity may consist of a random selection of letters and other characters.
Line
Select line < - All dialog boxes are closed, and we get the opportunity to select a polygon in the drawing. As we click a polygon, we get back to the dialog box.
Draw line < - All dialog boxes are closed, and we get the opportunity to draw a polygon. By pressing <Enter> we get back to the dialog box.
Design
Width - The width of the barrier. The width will be applied to the entire barrier. If the width exceeds 0.5 meters, the barrier will be interpreted as a “thick barrier”, and corrections will be applied accordingly.
In the calculation method, it is the width at the top of the barrier that is taken into consideration, and therefore this is the width that should be entered. This implies that if a pointed mound is to be recorded, a width less than 0.5 meters should be entered, (even though it may be several meters wide at the base).
Edit heights - A separate dialog box appears, in which the height of the barrier can be specified (see Edit Heights).
Reflection
Reflective - Whether the barrier is to be reflective.
Absorption coefficient - A value between 0.0 (no reflection) and 1.0 (full reflection), telling how reflecting the barrier is.
In the Nordic Calculation Method for Road traffic Noise of 1996, the absorption coefficient is not taken into consideration!
Misc.
OK - The dialog box is closed and the barrier is registered/changed.
Cancel - The dialog box is closed without the barrier being registered/changed.
