Single
The function enables you to insert conventional symbols for plants or groups of plants. It is possible and easy to add text to these conventional symbols. The text can be written on each symbol or on the first symbol. Using the Object menu (NCO), the text on the symbol can be edited after the symbols are drawn.
MOUS_ICO Menu: Landscape > Planting Design > Single
MOUS_ICO Toolbar: Planting Design: Single
The dialog box 'Single' follows as the function is started. Symbol: By pressing this button or clicking on the preview of the symbol the dialog Symbol - Overview appears. The text field to the left of the button shows the path of the WBLOCK file and its name. If you know the symbol name and/or path of the file you can type it in directly.
Area name - Type in a description for the area where symbols are being inserted. The fields are activated in the Symbol - Overview dialog. In the three area name fields, you can type in code, description 1, and description 2.
Note: Description can also be added with the function 'Object menu (NCO)' after the symbol has been inserted in the drawing.
With Symbol - Check the box to insert a conventional symbol and its mark points, otherwise only a point will be inserted. By default Symbol and the mark point will be inserted. Even if you opt to insert without symbols you can still insert mark plan points either as an Existing plant or a New plant.
Elevation from DTM - Symbols will be inserted with a height that the system generates from the active DTM in your Project ID.
Plan hollow - If you activate this field the button Area will be activated as well. The Area activates a dialog to define the size of your plan hallow. This function can also be used to define a bush hatch under trees. It is possible to insert tree symbols and define bush hatch in one function.
Rotation/Size
Rotation +/- (grads) - The value defined in this field is used as a random rotation angle when inserting the symbols. The max value is +/- 200 grad (if the value is set to zero, there will be no variation in the rotation for the symbols).
Height/Width (meter) - Define the dimensions to be used while inserting symbols. If the symbols are being inserted in a plan, the value defined will be the diameter of the symbol. If the symbols are being inserted in a section or 3D, the value defined will be the height of the symbol.
Variation +/- (meter) - The value defined in this field will be used for random variation in the size (Height/Width) of the symbols being inserted. If the size (Height/Width) of the symbol is defined as 5.0 meters, and the variation value is defined as 1.0 meter, the symbols will be inserted with sizes from 4.0 meters to 6.0 meters, randomly.
Mark plant points
Without plant point - Mark the radio button so that the symbol alone will be inserted.
Existing plants - Mark the option so that the symbol will be inserted with a concentric circle.
New plants - Mark the option so that the symbol will be inserted with a cross at its center. When you click Ok command prompts for: Select a point: Point where you want to place the symbol in your drawing The dialog box 'Symbols in Group' will pop up. There are four possible choices as shown in the dialog box 'Symbols in Group'. If you select to insert a text with the symbol, the command prompts for: Select text position: The insertion point of the text is the default the same insertion point as the symbol.
