Trimble Novapoint Help
Use this function for inserting illustration symbols along with feature codes of the symbols on cross-sections.
The cross-sections have to be generated using the function Draw Cross Section from Terrain Model.
The cross-sections are to be drawn before using this tool.
Ribbon: Novapoint > Tools > Draw Symbols to Terrain Cross Sections
The dialog box Draw Illustration Symbols To Cross-sections will pop up. The function will read the reference lines, and related cross-sections, and list them in the dialog box. You can choose to insert symbols to all, with Select all or User selection.
Use the button Settings to select the settings for Configure Symbols Drawing Settings, Configure Profile Breakpoint Drawing Settings, and Symbols search boundary settings.
Configure Symbols Drawing Settings: Choose the Layer, wanted Symbol, and you need to know the Filename, Path, and wanted Scale.
Configure Profile Breakpoint Drawing Settings: Choose the Feature Code, and wanted Symbol, and you need to know the Filename, Path, and wanted Scale.
Symbols search boundary settings: Choose the Distance, Layer, and Color.
Use the button Draw to draw the symbols or Undo Draw.
Note: If a feature code is not assigned with a symbol, only the feature code (as text) will be inserted on the cross-section.
