Draw Symbols to Cross-Sections
Use this function to insert symbols into the Novapoint generated cross-sections (Draw Cross-sections from Road Model, Draw Terrain Cross-sections, Draw Standard Cross-section).
Inserts symbols to all the cross-sections (having X-data) on the active drawing.
Cross-sections are to be drawn in advance before running this function.
This function searches for X-data of cross-sections from the active drawing and works accordingly.
Symbols such as curb stones, plantations, etc., can be drawn to the cross-sections.
Procedure
Select a surface edge from the drop-down list (the list is generated based on the X-data from the active drawing).
Select the symbol using the option Browse of the dialog.
Define the offset values and rotation angle.
Attach the symbol and click Draw to insert the attached symbols on all the cross-sections having X-data of the active drawing.
Multiple Symbols
Multiple symbols can be inserted on all the cross-sections of the active drawing.
Only one symbol can be attached to each surface.
If multiple symbols are to be attached to the same surface repeat the function.
Run the function from the following location:
MOUS_ICO Menu: Road > Draw Cross-sections > Draw Symbols to Cross-sections
The dialog Draw Symbols to Cross-section will pop up.
Surfaces
All the surfaces of the cross-sections on the active drawing will be listed here.
Select a surface.
Every surface of Novapoint generated cross-section (Autodraw Standard Cross-sections, Autodraw Cross-section, Autodraw Cross-Section (Separate Drawing)) will have two vertices.
The selected symbol will be inserted at the extreme vertex (from the centerline) of the selected surface.
Symbol
Use the button Browse to select the symbol that is to be inserted.
The path of the selected symbol will be mapped in this field.
Alternatively, define the path in this field.
Offset and Rotation
Define the offset values (X and Y directions) and rotation angle.
Positive offset values mean the right side in the case of the X direction and upwards in the case of the Y direction.
Attach
After defining the surfaces, symbol, offset and rotation parameters, click the button Attach. The selected symbol will be displayed in the list Surfaces and Symbols.
All the parameters, surface, offset and rotation values will be displayed in this list.
You can attach multiple symbols and insert all of them on all the cross-sections having X-data.
Use the option Remove to remove/detach a symbol.
Select the row with a single click and click the button Remove.
Execute the function with the button Draw.
Use the option Undo Draw to erase previously drawn symbols.
