Draw Chainage Break Symbol
Use this function to interrupt the chainage of the selected line (alignment or CAD line/polyline/arc) at the desired location and restart chainage from the interruption point.
The first chainage after the interruption point is a user-defined value.
If desired the selected alignment/line can be split into two parts at the interruption point.
Notes:
The function makes changes only to the alignment in the drawing.
Data related to the alignment in the database (Quadri Model) is unaltered.
Run the function from the following location:
MOUS_ICO Menu: Road > Draw Horizontal Alignment > Draw Chainage Break Symbol
MOUS_ICO Ribbon: Road > Draw Horizontal Alignment > Draw Chainage Break Symbol
Command prompts for:
Pick baseline:
MOUS_ICO Select the alignment/CAD entity (Line/Polyline/Arc), along which chainage is to be interrupted and restarted.
The dialog Draw Chainage Break Symbol will pop up and a mark (cross line) will be displayed on the alignment.
The dialog is a floating window, which allows working on other Novapoint/CAD functions without exiting this dialog.
Defining the Chainage Break Point
Use the button Break at chainage < and pick the location from the drawing. The cross line moves according to the mouse movement. The chainage of the selected point will be displayed.
Tips:
Make use of Object Snap Modes for accurate selection.
Chainage from this point - Alternatively, define the first chainage to be given to the selected baseline after the chainage break point.
By default, the value will be the same as that of the value at the field Break at Chainage <.
Symbol angle (grad) - A pre-defined symbol will be inserted at the chainage break point.
Define the angle (grad) for the symbol.
By default, the symbol will be inserted perpendicular to the baseline at the chainage break point.
Break Polyline - Mark this check box to break the selected baseline at the chainage break point.
