Task
The railway task is in many ways identical to the road task and where there are differences we have linked to relevant pages.
Task
For information about how to use templates, define task name and location in the explorer tree, see documentation for road task.
Settings
For information about how to use the task settings, see documentation for road task.
Reference Alignment
For information about how to set the reference alignment, definining from-to station and using the vertical override, see documentation for road task.
Differences between Road and Railway tasks:
Reference alignments in a railway task need to be made as railway alignments. When you create a Line task you need to use the template for Railway Alignment.
'Vertical override' is not relevant for Railway.
Railway Standard
This is where you define the railway model to be a single track or double track model.
Single Track: Gives a single track model.
Offset double track: Define the offset to be on the left- or righthand side, and define the offset distance. Gives a double track model.
Alignment double track: Select the alignment geometry for the second track of the double track. Select if the railway model's Reference track is located to the Left or Right of this alignment. You can choose if the second track will use the vertical from the main Reference alignment (Vert. from Ref.), or use its own vertical alignment.
Speed and CS
KM Calc
In the KM Calc dialog you define the station equation for KM stationing.
Speed
In the speed dialog you define the speed profile of the model which is used when drawing the Longitudinal Profile to CAD.
Cross Section
This is a wizard for defining the cross-section of the railway model.
Select Data
Define the calculation basis and illustration objects of the model.
Rules
For information about how the rules work, see documentation for road task.
Finish
For information about how use these options, see documentation for road task.
