Change Layer Order

Generally, overlapping objects such as text, wide polylines, and solid-filled polygons are displayed in the order they are created, with newly created objects in front of existing objects. By using this command you can change the drawing order of all objects in the AutoCAD drawing.

Run the function from:

MOUS_ICO Toolbar: Not available from the Toolbar

MOUS_ICO Menu: Novapoint > Tools > Change Layer Order…

KEYB_ICO Command Line: Not available from the command line

The dialog box Layers Group Utilities will pop up.

Settings

• Layer name - A list of layer names you choose (separated by “,” character).

• Description - Define the descriptive text, which appears in the pop-up menu.

• Add: Select a layer name in the list and press this button.

• Select from DWG < - Pick up the layer name from selecting a reference object in the drawing.

• Show layer names in menu - Displays the layer name in the pop-up menu in addition to the entered “description”.

Move Up/Move Down

Use these two buttons for arranging the drawing order of each set of layers.

• Open - Open a defined configuration file for layer order.

• Save as - Save the current layer configuration to a file.

Regenerate

By using this command you can change the drawing order of all objects in the AutoCAD drawing, based on the layer name.

The command will arrange the data (display order) according to the order of the layer names in the Settings dialog (from the top).
