Draw Longitudinal Profile from Road Model
Use this function to present the longitudinal profile for the alignment of the active road design task.
To change the road design task, exit the function and run the function Select task.
If you have problems drawing out the longitudinal profile, see our Support & FAQ for help.
Procedure
Open the dialog Draw Longitudinal Profile from Road Model, this can be done from the following locations:
MOUS_ICO Ribbon: Draw > Longitudinal Profile
MOUS_ICO Toolbar: Draw Longitudinal Profile > Draw Longitudinal Profile from Road Model
MOUS_ICO Menu: Road > Draw Longitudinal Profile > Draw Longitudinal Profile from Road Model
The active road design task and start/end chainages (extents) of its alignment are displayed.
Tip: Quick Help for the active parameter is displayed at the bottom of the dialog.
Longitudinal Profile Settings
Specify the Start chainage to horizontally adjust the longitudinal profile in the frame.
Specify the Datum to vertically adjust the longitudinal profile in the frame.
Specify the Insertion Point of the frame with coordinates or by using the ellipse button (the Insertion Point is located at point G in the image in Figure 1 below).
Frame Settings
Specify the Frame length in meters.
Specify the Frame height in meters.
Specify the Vertical Exaggeration.
Specify a View name (optional). The frame will be given a view name and can be used when creating layouts.
Alignment Chainage Settings
Specify a start and end to the alignment drawn in the longitudinal profile if the whole stretch, defined by Start and Frame length, is not wanted.
Terrain Profile Settings
Select Other alignments if you want to show alignments from a calculation basis or illustration objects.
Terrain offset will draw an offset terrain line.
Rehabilitation draws the terrain profile from input in Rehabilitation.
In External alignment, it is possible to choose all alignments in the Quadri model.
Drawing Style Settings
Select a Drawing style for the longitudinal profile. A preview of the drawing style is shown in the preview windows.
Execute the function with the button Draw.

Include other tasks in the Longitudinal Profile
To include external models, alignments, or objects presented by tasks to the longitudinal profile you must add these tasks to either the Calculation Basis or as Illustration Objects. You can also add alignments from the Terrain Profile Settings in the Draw Longitudinal Profile dialog.
