Road Access
This function designs road access along any selected reference line.
The resulting Road Access will be a 2D drawing.
Elevations to the 2D road access drawing can be defined using the Elevation Tools.
The function does not modify the road model or the database (Quadri Model).
Run the function from the following location:
MOUS_ICO Menu: Road > Intersection Tools > Road Access
Command prompts for:
Pick a line, arc, polyline:
Pick left or right side:
Preview of the road access will be drawn in CAD with the default parameters.
The preview is updated automatically when parameters are modified.
The unit of linear measurement and angular measurement are meters and decimal degrees, respectively.
Hook <
Defines the location of the access road on the selected reference line.
The preview will glide along the reference line.
Pick the point for the start of the road access, use snap modes for precise pointing.
Alternatively, type in the start chainage in the dialog.
End <
This function defines the end point of the access road.
The end point of the access road moves with the cursor movement.
Pick the end point of the road access.
Use snap modes for precise pointing.
Move <
Use this button to move the entire road access.
The preview will glide along the reference line.
Pick the new start point.
Parameters
Station on reference line - Define the station number for the start of the road access.
Offset from reference line - Define the offset from the reference line.
The radius of approach edge line - Define the radius of the approach edge line. The parameter is related to the command lanesetup (left lane driving/right lane driving).
The radius of exit edge line - Define the radius of the exit edge line. The parameter is related to the command lanesetup (left lane driving/right lane driving).
Total width at construction - Define the total road width (left lanes and right lanes) at the access point.
Total width at end of road access - Define the total road width (left lane and right lanes) at the end of road access.
Distance from access point to end point - Define the distance (measured along the reference line) of the road access end point.
The perpendicular distance from end point to reference line - Define the perpendicular distance of the road access end point from the exit edge line.
Centerline on/off - Mark the check box if the centerline of road access is to be drawn.

R1 = Radius of the approach edge line
R2 = Radius of the exit edge line
A1 = Distance from access point to end point
A2 = Perpendicular distance from end point to the reference line
B1 = Total width at the constriction
B2 = Total width at end of road access
Off = Offset from the reference line
