Add Point Elevation

Use this tool to calculate the elevation for a new point elevation based on the distance between 2 or 3 reference points.

Working procedure

1. Start the function and the command prompts:

2. Select the first elevation block:

3. Select one of the elevation blocks from which the new point elevation should be calculated

The command prompts:

1. Select the second elevation block:

2. Select the other elevation blocks from which the new point elevation should be calculated

3. The command prompts:

Specify basepoint or [Third]:

Set out the new point elevation. Use the given distances from the reference points to define the position of the new point elevation or use option [Third]:type ´T` and select a third point elevation. Set out the new, third point elevation, correctly calculated on the triangular plane defined by selected point elevations.

Tip: Use Ctrl-button to lock the new elevation point to mid point or gravity point on a triangular plane.

About point elevations in Novapoint Landscape

• Point elevations are blocks with an insertion point in the “+”-sign. The z-value for the block will always be equal to the written text.

• Styles for point elevations and slope arrows can be created and managed inside New point elevations setup.
