Property Boundaries
Use this function to define the extent of the road cross-section.
Property boundaries are defined from the toe of the embankment (outermost surface of fill) and apex of cut (outermost surface of cut).
Employing Rounding off against verges provides a rather large road area.
In such cases, the toe of the embankment will be defined as the outermost point on the rounded surface.
Measurement of property boundary values defined using this function will be from the outermost point.
Results can be presented in the cross-section viewer, 3D results in Quadri, or in the Draw Road Model function in CAD.
Run the function from the following location of the floating window Road Model:
MOUS_ICO Toolbar: Not available from Toolbar
MOUS_ICO Menu: Data > Cut and Fill Elements > Property Boundaries
The dialog box Property Boundaries will pop up.
Default values will be automatically inserted during project identification.
Values for left and right are to be defined on respective tabs.
The buttons Insert and Delete are meant for rows in the table.
Select a row and use the button Insert to insert a new row. The new row will be inserted above the row selected.
Select a row and use the button Delete to delete the selected row.
Use the shortcut menu of the table for editing.
Values in the cell can also be copied using the plus symbol (activated when the cursor is at the corner of a cell) and dragging.
Section
Property boundaries can be defined on a section basis. Define the section using the columns To.
The value in the first row will be applied from the start station of the road model.
The values in any other row will be applied from the station value in the above row.
At Top Cut/Bottom Fill
Define the property boundaries from the toe of the embankment (in case of fill) and from the apex of the cut.
Values are to be defined in meters.
Only positive values are to be defined.
In the calculation of total road area, the distance that gives the greatest area will be used.
At Edge Shoulder
Define the minimum distance (meter) from the shoulder edge.
