Dialog Box
This list gives an overview of all defined noise barriers. For each noise barrier, the following is shown: identity, the barrier's length and width, whether the barrier is reflecting (Y) or not (N), and also whether the barrier is active or passive.
Find it here:
MOUS_ICO Menu: Noise > Barriers > Dialog box
or
nco: Select a barrier
MOUS_ICO Popup menu: Dialog box
This list allows the user to select multiple barriers for the functions Delete, Active, Passive, RefOn, RefOff and Show selection <. If you want to change the barrier or edit the height, only one barrier can be selected.
Object handling
New barrier - The dialog box New barrier appears, (see New).
Change - The dialog box Change barrier appears, (see New).
Edit heights - The dialog box Edit barrier heights appears, (see Edit Heights).
Delete - Selected barrier(s) are deleted. The dialog box Delete barrier appears, see Delete.
Active - Sets selected barrier(s) active. Only active barriers are included in noise calculations.
Passive - Sets selected barrier(s) passive. Passive barriers are not included in noise calculations.
RefOn - Sets selected barrier(s) to be reflecting.
RefOff - Sets selected barrier(s) to be non-reflecting.
Show selection < - All dialog boxes are closed, and all buildings selected in the list will be highlighted in red on the screen, with red squares encircling all barriers. We get back to the dialog box by pressing <Enter> or <Esc>.
Window handling
+ The height of the window in the dialog box showing the list of barriers is increased.
- The height of the window in the dialog box showing the list of barriers is decreased.
Status
Number - states the total number of barriers defined in Novapoint Noise.
In list - the number of barriers in the filtered list.
Selected - tells how many of the barriers in the (filtered) list are selected.
Selection
Select all - All barriers are selected.
Invert - All barriers that are not selected are selected, and vice versa.
Reset - All selections are cancelled.
From screen < - All dialog boxes are closed, and we may select one or more barriers by selecting them from the drawing. We get back to the dialog box by pressing <Enter>. The barriers that are selected from the drawing will now be selected in the list.
AutoCAD does not allow more than 255 lines in a list to be selected at a time. If more than 255 objects are selected, a message will appear at the bottom of the screen, that the list cannot be used directly. This means that more than 255 objects cannot be selected by clicking the list, and that the functions Select All, Invert, Reset and/or From screen have to be applied when more than 255 objects are to be selected. We cannot see from the list which objects are selected, but Selected will show the number, and the functions for the relevant objects do work!
Filter
In the Filter, we can specify which barriers are to be shown in the list.
Status - We may choose whether only active barriers, only passive barriers or all barriers are to be shown.
Identity - We may filter by identity, by stating certain names. The filtering by name happens as in AutoCAD in general (see Wildcard Characters in AutoCAD's help file).
Example:
“Barrier*” - all objects with identity starting with “Barrier”, no matter what comes after
“Barrier?1*” - all objects with identity having exactly one character between “Barrier” and “1”, e.g.: “Barrier01”, “BarrierA1234”, “Barrier 1”, but not “Barrier321”.
Misc.
OK - The dialog box is closed.
